I've been growing and styling bonsai trees for decades.
I've made all the mistakes. I've killed trees.
But I've learned a lot and I'm happy to share what I know.
Among other places, my trees have been exhibited at the OC Fair,
the Bowers Museum, the Fullerton Arboretum, the Sherman Gardens, and the South Coast Plaza Spring Garden Show.
Along the way, I learned how to care for these wonderful pieces of living art, but most importantly, I've learned how to make bonsai fun.
Please join me!
I create pots and accent pieces that accentuate the beauty, ruggedness and variety of the bonsai trees and companion plants that will live inside them or be displayed with or upon them.
In addition to traditional forms and surfaces, I enjoy incorporating unexpected elements and non-traditional forms, textures, or finishes in my work, whether I’m hand-building, throwing, or slip-casting.
Though I value Japanese traditions and aesthetics in bonsai pottery, my favorite pieces incorporate designs, elements, finishes, or materials that reflect my eclectic interests and experiences in the diverse natural and manufactured Southern California surroundings that made me who I am.
Most trees need to be kept outside - boxwoods, junipers, olives, etc.
Succulents and tropical trees like ficus and jade will do well inside.
Do not overwater your tree. If the surface of the soil is still wet, wait.
Click the email button above and I'll send you a free PDF with instructions on how to care for your new bonsai tree.
